About the Sculpture
Rogers said her sculpture on NMC’s main campus is “a visual metaphor for the action of connecting or combining the various disciplines of the academic world, to achieve an integrated approach to education.”
About the Artist
Rogers’ work has been widely exhibited in major museums and galleries in the US and Europe, as well as has been written about in arts publications. She is represented in numerous public and private art collections and has received many significant outdoor sculpture commissions.
Rogers attended NMC from 1978 to 1981, earning her Associate of Liberal Arts Degree. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit in 1984 and an MFA from Kent State University in 1989.
