Into The Arctic
september 17, 2017 — december 31, 2017
Over fifty powerful paintings from some of the most remote and wild corners of the Canadian Arctic comprise this remarkable exhibition. The body of work, drawn from four purposeful expeditions spanning the course of a decade, was created by Canadian painter, Cory Trépanier. A recipient of the Stefansson Medal, the highest award of The Explorers Club of Canada, Trépanier is also a fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
Into The Arctic is a time capsule of some of the planet’s most spectacular, yet fragile, landscapes from the furthest reaches of the Canadian Arctic—a biosphere so remote and untouched, that most of its vast landscape has never been painted before.
